Privacy Notice

This page explains what we collect when you apply to Skyrads E-Sports or sign up for launch notifications, why we collect it, and how to get it removed.

Before go-live: this notice is a working draft prepared alongside the site. Have it reviewed by someone qualified in Sri Lankan data protection law — in particular the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 — and fill in the contact and retention details marked below before publishing. It is written to be accurate to what the code actually does, but it is not legal advice.

Who we are

Skyrads E-Sports is an esports organisation based in Sri Lanka, formed in 2026 from the merger of Ascendium E-Sports and Lyrax E-Sports. For anything about your data, contact us at hello@skyrads.com.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form. We do not buy data about you or collect it from anywhere else.

Apply to join	Your name, age, email, Discord username, and the answers relevant to the track you chose (in-game name, game, rank, hours, achievements, goals, experience, portfolio links, and why you want to join). Optionally your phone number.	To assess your application and contact you about it.
Apply and you are under 18	A parent or guardian's name and email.	So we can reach your guardian before any trial, and so we are not holding a minor's details on the minor's word alone.
Sign up for launch news	Your email address.	To email you once, when the site launches.
Submit either form	Your IP address and the time of submission.	To rate-limit spam and to record when you gave consent.

Consent

We ask you to tick a box before you submit an application, and we record the time you did. We do not pre-tick it, and you cannot submit the form without it. Signing up for launch news is itself the consent for that one email.

If you are under 18

You can apply from age 12, but the form will ask for a parent or guardian's name and email, and we will contact them before any trial. If you are a parent or guardian and you would rather we had none of this, email hello@skyrads.com and we will delete the whole application — we do not ask for a reason.

Who sees it

Skyrads staff involved in recruitment. Applications are also posted to a private, staff-only Discord channel so the recruitment team sees them promptly. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with advertisers or other organisations.

Where it is kept

On our own server, in a directory that is not reachable from the web. We do not use a third-party form service. The launch-notification list is stored the same way.

How long we keep it

[To confirm before publishing — suggested: applications kept for 12 months after the recruitment round closes, then deleted; launch-notification emails deleted once the launch email has been sent.]

Your rights

Email hello@skyrads.com and you can ask us to:

tell you what we hold about you;
correct anything that is wrong;
delete it entirely;
withdraw your consent, which we will treat as a deletion request.

We will respond within 30 days. You do not need to explain why.

Cookies and tracking

This page sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and includes no advertising or social tracking pixels. The only third-party request the site makes is to Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces and receives your IP address as part of that request.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
